Clement Park

Clement Park

Only about 10 minutes from Ken Caryl sits Littleton’s Clement Park. Clement Park is a fantastic place for all sorts of activities, for people of all ages. For our family, we have a weekly outing we call “Library, Lucha, and Lake.” This is a great evening out that gives everyone in our family a taste of what we like to do.

The Columbine Library sits right next to Clement Park, and this is a little taste of paradise for my kiddos. There’s not much they enjoy more than loading up a bag full of books to keep them occupied. Please note, the library will be closed for remodeling during the summer of 2017, and a temporary library has been set up across the street.

After the library, we love getting a bite to eat at Lucha Cantina. Lucha has some of the freshest Mexican food you’ll find, as well as a huge selection of custom homemade salsas. Unfortunately, chips and salsa aren’t part of the deal, so look through the local paper to see if you can find a free chips and queso coupon.

We finish our evening with a walk or bike ride around the lake. I wish it were a dirt trail to make running a little nicer, and as it is the mile or so long concrete circle around the lake is a popular spot for walkers, joggers, and kids learning to ride their bikes! If you haven’t before, make sure you visit the Columbine Memorial. This is a beautiful memorial to those who lost their lives in the Columbine High School shooting.

Next time you need a nice night out near Ken Caryl, be sure to visit Clement Park. With summer concerts and more, there’s always something for everyone.
